Privacy policy

The short version: your invoices stay on your device and are never uploaded. The website itself may use analytics and advertising (Google AdSense) cookies, explained below with your opt-out choices.

What stays on your device

When you use the tools, the information you type (your business and client details, invoice lines, logo, saved profiles and history) is processed in your browser. To let you come back later, it is saved in your browser’s local storage under keys starting with idw:. This data is not sent to our servers. We cannot see it, recover it or delete it for you. You can remove it at any time by clearing the site data in your browser, or with the delete options in the tools.

Share links

The “Share” feature encodes an invoice into the part of the web address after the #. Browsers do not send that part to the server. Anyone who has the link can read the invoice, so share it only with people who should see it.

What our server receives

Like any website, our hosting provider’s servers receive technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the page requested, date and time, and browser details. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure, and standard server logs may be kept for a limited time by the host. We do not combine this with any personal profile.

Who is responsible

InvoiceDesk is run by Rashid Mehmood, an independent publisher based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who is the data controller for the limited personal data described here. Contact: chrashidm30@gmail.com.

Cookies and similar technologies

We use your browser’s local storage for the tool features described above and to remember your privacy choices. Fonts are hosted on our own domain. In addition, the site may use the third-party services below, which set cookies or use similar technologies (such as device identifiers or web beacons). See our cookie policy for details.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use, or may use, Google AdSense to show advertising that pays for the free tools. Ads are clearly marked and never appear inside the invoices you create.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info, and, in the EU/UK, at Your Online Choices.
  • If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant (non-personalised ads still use cookies for frequency capping, fraud prevention and reporting).
  • Other certified ad vendors and ad networks may also serve ads through Google. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and read how Google uses cookies in advertising.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, with IP anonymisation and Google Consent Mode. Analytics cookies are only set after you allow them. Google Analytics never receives the content of your invoices. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where the law requires consent (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR and the ePrivacy rules), visitors from these regions are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised advertising cookies are used. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link the message provides, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The legal basis for advertising and analytics cookies is your consent; for server logs and security it is our legitimate interest in running a safe website.

US state privacy rights

Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws may opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising. Use Google Ads Settings above, enable Global Privacy Control in your browser, or email us. We do not knowingly sell personal information in any other sense.

International transfers

Our host and Google may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Google relies on recognised safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Contacting us

If you email us we receive your address and message and use them only to reply and to improve the site. We keep correspondence for as long as needed for that purpose.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, Canada’s PIPEDA or Australia’s Privacy Act), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a regulator. Because your invoices are not stored by us, most requests relate only to correspondence and server logs. Email chrashidm30@gmail.com to make a request.

Children

InvoiceDesk is a business tool and is not directed at children.

External sites

We link to official and third-party websites. They have their own privacy practices.

We will update the date above when this policy changes.
